Stremme Returns With New Sprint Cup Team

Stremme Returns With New Sprint Cup Team: "David Stremme told Sirius NASCAR Radio's Sirius Speedway with Dave Moody today that he has entered into an agreement to drive the #30 Inception Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for the newly formed Inception Motorsports.

The team will begin competition at Richmond International Raceway on April 30.

The new race team will compete in a select schedule of Sprint Cup events this season and will be privately funded by the Inception investment group. Veteran Steve Lane will serve as crewchief on the effort, with Gus Larkin serving as General Manager for the Mooresville, NC based team.

Stremme commented on his new deal today, saying, “The plan is solid, we’re going to pick our shots this season, earn respect and establish ourselves as a competitive race team then make a points run in 2012.

'The exciting thing about Inception is that everyone involved is experienced in the sport,' he said. 'We know good deals from bad deals and we all share a common belief in how to build and operate a successful race team.”

Inception Motorsports is a privately funded entity, and Stremme said the team hopes to have sponsorship announcements within the next few weeks.
